I recently attended the MIDWEST WRITERS WORKSHOP and am all pumped with motivation to continue honing my writing craft toward the next notch.
The planning committee for the 35th workshop just keep getting better and better at producing a class act. Talent abounded among all speakers. "Star (author) sightings" included Shirley Jump, Tasha Alexander, J.Brent Bill, Rebecca Kai Dotlich, Bill Fitzhugh, Lee Lofland, Kevin Stein, Jeff Stone, and Sally Wright. Helpful agents present were Amy Tipton, Anne Hawkins and Josh Geztler. Jane Friedman of Writer's Digest Books well represented publishers.
Yours truly even won an award! We had to respond to a six word writing prompt with 100 words in about 20 minutes. Here's the prompt. See what you can do. Wasn't an easy prompt to say the least. FOR SALE BABY CRIB NEVER USED
It was a great workshop. Held each year at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Mark your calendar for next year!
Our back yard is bursting with summer! Sunflowers, birds everywhere, glads, herbs, and some exotic looking gourds that came up from dried seeds my dear husband 'scattered.' They are huge, yellow and green and taking over everything! Ahhh.
I wish you enough . . . Jude

My friend's doctor said this to her. How awesome. Two things that can help improve our health and well being and yet two things so easily forgotten!
Many of us have the bad habit of slumping our shoulders and most of us don't drink nearly enough water. Right? I'm guilty.
I'm so glad I heard this. I think of it nearly every day now and certainly as I sit for hours at the computer writing.
Not too much free in today's world. And things that are so good for us. Think on it.
Until later-I WISH YOU ENOUGH!
