Recently my sister and I renewed our souls with a quiet respite at a Catholic retreat house surrounded by beautiful grounds. My sister thought I was taking her to a preaching and cabin in the woods-type retreat and was she surprised!

Morning and evening we walked the labyrinth and felt the refreshing that comes from a meditative journey in and out of the circles.

We enjoyed nature all around and I believe this is the first time I've seen a hummingbird drink from a flowing fountain.

Time spent in just talking, reading or prayer was wonderful. The quiet was best of all though.

But all too soon came time to leave. We returned to normal life and family, but renewed way, way inside.

God said, "Be still and know that I am God."

'I wish you enough' this wonderful day of June, which has had a bit of the needed rain.
